Young Involved Philadelphia (YIP) -- a grassroots organization increasing civic engagement among young Philadelphians -- selected Philadelphia Forward to receive its "Civic Bulldog Award" for fighting for tax reform in Philadelphia.
The presentation was made a YIP's annual membership party held last week. It was very gratifying to see so many engaged young people who are so enthusiastic about the city's future. YIP's members understand that positive policies can move Philadelphia forward and they are committed to making it happen. Some say that Philadelphia is a city run for 500 people, but at the award presentation, the room was full of young Philadelphians who want to create a city run for 1.5 million people -- and more!
